The Trading
Station fully supports all Consumer Statutory Rights and in no
instance are those rights affected by our own terms and conditions.
The TRADING STATION business terms seek to ensure both efficient
transactions and comprehensive after sales support.
BUYING
FROM THE TRADING STATION
All items
listed on this web site can be purchased by mail order or personal
visit to our premises. The TRADING STATION offers a variety of
purchasing facilities and those are outlined here.
BUYING
USED PRODUCTS
All items
from our USED HI-FI stock are fully tested and inspected prior
to sale, and both operating and cosmetic conditions are recorded
on file. Unless otherwise stated all items are sold with a comprehensive
ninety (90) days warranty covering all parts and labour wherever
possible. The warranty excludes accidental damage or abuse and
is offered subject to the item being returned in the same condition
as when purchased. If there is a balance of manufacturer's warranty
remaining, whenever possible we will support that facility. We
cannot offer warranty facilities with 'vintage' products which
will be made clear at the time of any transaction. However, the
TRADING STATION offers an expert repair service at highly competitive
terms. Quotations will be offered on request.
BUYING
EX-DEMONSTRATION PRODUCTS
Most items
featured in our 'Ex-demonstration' lists are either NEW (usually
excess stock) items in unopened boxes; demonstration or display
items that are returned to their original packaging for sale;
or 'AS NEW' items that are being sold without their packaging.
Appropriate details will be supplied to prospective customers.
In all cases, the full manufacturers warranty accompanies all
items with any guarantee claim being fully supported by the TRADING
STATION.
BUYING
NEW PRODUCTS
All NEW items,
sold as such, will be accompanied by a full manufacturers warranty.
Extended warranties are available on new equipment only and cover
periods of three and five years. Quotations available on request.
HOW TO
BUY
If you are
interested in purchasing any item from these lists, in the first
instance please click the e-mail button to the left of the item
to make your enquiry; or phone to check availability and any other
details. Phone +44 (0)870 608 8211. Transactions can be completed
at the same time.
Mail order
purchases can be made by CREDIT or DEBIT CARDS. In these cases
items purchased are usually despatched same day. CHEQUE payments
require four working days to clear and goods will be kept 'on
hold' during that process. We generally discourage cash transactions
by post but such payments can be made in-store. We also offer
a variety of finance packages* to
personal callers.

FREIGHT
COSTS
All prices
shown are exclusive of freight costs. For UK mainland despatch
we can advise customers of freight costs at time of enquiry. For
overseas deliveries, costs are calculated on volumetric/weight
basis and we advise customers of the best freight costs we can
obtain.
VAT (Value
Added Tax)
SECONDHAND
ITEMS
All prices
shown are inclusive of VAT where applicable. Purchasers resident
outside the European Economic Community may be able to reclaim
the VAT from the prices listed. In such circumstances VAT may
be claimed when purchasing second-hand equipment BUT only on our
profit margin and not on the full price of the item. VAT cannot
be reclaimed on items that are sold by us on a commission basis.
NEW ITEMS
Overseas
customers (outside the EEC) are entitled to claim VAT (when appropriate)
on the list price of most NEW items. We are able to advise on
the claim process.
FINANCE
Most equipment
(new and second-hand) can be purchased on terms that are flexible,
competitive and can usually be arranged same day to personal callers.
Please check with us before visiting the store. Loans are arranged
through established finance companies and are subject to status.
All consumer rights are fully protected.
SELLING
TO THE TRADING STATION
We are pleased
to re-sell hi-fi equipment on a commission basis. For a detailed
quotation and price expectation, please phone or email with the
details of your unwanted equipment.
